1 Install the Bookmarklet

Drag the button above to your browser's bookmarks bar. If you don't see it:

  • Chrome/Edge: Ctrl+Shift+B (Win) or Cmd+Shift+B (Mac)
  • Firefox: Ctrl+B (Win) or Cmd+B (Mac)
  • Safari: Cmd+Shift+B
2 Navigate to BandLab

Go to any BandLab sample pack page while logged in:

Wait for the page to finish loading. You don't need to scroll to the bottom yourself: the bookmarklet walks the whole list for you.

3 Click the Bookmarklet

Click "Parse BandLab Pack" in your bookmarks bar. A small parser window opens and the BandLab page scrolls itself while it collects. Leave it alone until it finishes, then it extracts:

  • Pack name and metadata
  • All sample information
  • BPM, key, duration, and other attributes
4 Download JSON

The JSON file will automatically download with the correct filename. Review the metadata in the parser if you need to make edits.

Important Notes
  • Must be logged in to BandLab for the page to load properly
  • Wait for full load before clicking the bookmarklet
  • Privacy: All processing happens locally in your browser

How It Works

The bookmarklet opens the parser in a small separate window, then scrolls through the entire sample list and sends the assembled HTML across. The scroll matters because BandLab only keeps about 100 rows in the page at once, so a long pack has to be walked end to end before every track exists to capture. Using a separate window rather than a new tab keeps the BandLab page visible, which keeps its timers running at full speed: in a background tab the browser throttles them and the scroll stalls. You don't need to switch tabs, and no data is sent to external servers.

If your browser blocks the popup, allow it for this site and click again. The parser still works if it opens as a tab instead, but the scroll will pause until you click back to the BandLab tab.
